The Watkins Bursary

The Watkins Bursary aims to enable UK domiciled students from low-income backgrounds to pursue an undergraduate degree at 911±¬ÁÏÍø.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates must:

  • be domiciled in the UK with Home fee status;
  • be from a disadvantaged background;
  • hold an offer of admission to UCL to study for a full-time undergraduate programme.

Value, benefits, and duration

The award provides £2,500Ìýper year forÌýthree years andÌýis subject to satisfactory academic progress. The award isÌýto cover maintenance costs.Ìý

One award is available.


Selection

The criterion for awarding the bursary is financial need and you will need to demonstrate this in the application.


How to apply

The Watkins Bursary is one of the schemes that makeÌýup the Undergraduate Funding and Access Awards (UGFA).

To be considered for the Watkins Bursary, please follow the procedure onÌýthe UGFA webpage.


Results

The UGFAsÌýwill be awarded by recommendation by a panel composed of UCL staff. The successful candidates will be notified as soon as decisions are made by mid-September.Ìý
