Job description
GEOL0022 Ocean Physics and Climate Change aims to describe and explain features of the ocean circulation that are important to the Earth's climate system using fundamental physical principles of mechanics and energy conservation.
As the PGTA on this module you will support the module organiser, Prof. Michel Tsamados, in preparing for and delivering weekly practicals linked to the lectures. You will also help with the marking of assessments.Ìý
Key responsibilities
- Teaching assistance through the facilitation of seminars and/or workshops;
- Class preparation and meeting with lecturers/module organisers;
- Laboratory demonstration;
- Marking students' work;
- Giving feedback to students
Requirements for role
Essential Skills Required:
- Maths and physics ability and interest. Inquisitive about climate change.Ìý
Desirable Skills Required:Ìý
- Problem solving mindset, interest in communicating complex ideas to a broad audience using infographic and presentation.Ìý
