Men significantly more likely to need intensive care treatment for Covid-19

Men have almost three times the odds of needing intensive care and 40% higher odds of dying from Covid-19 than women, finds research co-senior authored by Dr Claire Deakin (UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health) and Dr Lizzy Rosser (UCL Division of Medicine).
