UCL Summer School enjoys successful year
30 August 2017
The
The programme, which runs in July and August each year, is divided into two three-week teaching sessions meaning students can study for three or six weeks, take one module per session, and transfer credit back to their home institution.
The Summer School draws on UCL's academic strengths in a range of subject areas and is unique in London in its academic offering. Modules are encouraged to use London as a learning space and many include excursions or field visits in and around the city. Examples of experiential learning opportunities available to students include guided literary tours on the Literary London module and hands-on experience in the operating theatre at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) at Stanmore on the module Nerve Injury Treatment: Medicine, Science and Engineering.
The Summer School is led by the UCL Centre for Languages & International Education (CLIE), working with Student Recruitment and Marketing (SRM) on the Ìýmarketing and student recruitment. 550 students are expected to enrol in summer 2018. Any member of academic staff interested in learning more about the benefits of getting involved with the programme should contact the Head of the UCL Summer School Rhod Fiorini for further details.
