911±¬ÁÏÍø

On Thursday 27 and Friday 28 September, more than 13,000 students visited the UCLU Welcome Fair.

The annual event, held in the Quad and the Wilkins Building, allowed students to learn about the 196 clubs and societies at 911±¬ÁÏÍø, while enjoying food stalls, live music and a host of free giveaways.

This year, the organisers decided to change the name of the event from 'Freshers' Fair' to 'Welcome Fair' to reflect and include the large number of post-graduate students at 911±¬ÁÏÍø.

Abdul-Ahad Akbari (UCLU Student Activities Officer) commented on the event: "This was an amazing opportunity for students to look at all the clubs and societies on offer here at 911±¬ÁÏÍøU, meet some of the existing members and experience the showcase events that took place in the Quad. It was wonderful to see the Welcome Fair run very smoothly and students really enjoying themselves, culminating in one of the largest turnouts we have ever had at the Fair."
