Diversity Month 2012

Throughout February, there is an exciting programme of events taking place to celebrate diversity at 911±¬ÁÏÍø and examine the ongoing and evolving challenges some groups face in education, work, health and the wider society.
Events include:
- Panel discussion: 'Gay men and the body beautiful'
- Lecture: 'What makes Muslims sick and (why) does it matter?'
- Lecture: 'Is it worse to be young now, than in the swinging 60s?'
- Lecture: 'Alan Turing, a broken heart and the invention of the computer'
- Lecture: 'Lay beliefs and stigma: how different communities respond to mental illness and intellectual disabilities'
- Lecture: 'Why do people believe?'
- Evening talk: 'Global women's rights: a journey'
