UCL's engagement with London is showcased in a new London Higher publication.

'Social & Public Engagement by London's Universities and Higher Education Colleges' features case studies of:

• the , an eco-refurbishment that reduced carbon emissions from a house built in 1850 by 80%
• the UCL-Lancet Commission on Managing the Health Effects of Climate Change
• the , which connects student volunteers with around 250 charitable organisations.

The publication seeks to demonstrate the contribution made by London universities and higher education colleges to their home town.
