International Crime Science Conference

Professor Lord Robert Winston will be among a host of eminent speakers at a conference at the British Library on 16-17 July 2007 to showcase the latest techniques and technologies in the fight against crime.

The conference, organised by the UCL Centre for Security and Crime Science, will see presentations from leading experts in forensic science, biometrics, surveillance, emerging technologies and counter-terrorism, including:

•ÌýÌý ÌýDr Peter Ryan, Chief Security Advisor for the 2008 Beijing Olympics
•ÌýÌý ÌýDr Starnes-Walker, Director of Research, US Department of Homeland Security
•ÌýÌý ÌýKen Brigden, Director of the Ministry of Defence Counter Terrorism Science and Technology Centre
•ÌýÌý ÌýProfessor Chris Lowe, Director of the Institute of Biotechnology
•ÌýÌý ÌýPeter Neyroud of the National Police Improvement Agency
•ÌýÌý ÌýAndy Clancy, Metropolitan Police
•ÌýÌý ÌýBrian Howat and Andy Trotter, British Transport Police
•ÌýÌý ÌýNick Ross, BBC journalist and Chair of the Board of the UCL Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science.
