Trek Jamaica

20 July 2004

The Brain Research Trust is organising a sponsored trek through the famous Blue Mountains in Jamaica, to support work in UCL's Institute of Neurology.

The Blue Mountains, Jamaica

Trek Jamaica, due to take place in February 2005, will visit many of the lush parks and rainforests on the east coast of Jamaica.

A highlight of the trip will be the midnight trek up the Blue Mountains to Middle Peak, Jamaica's highest point, where trekkers can watch the breathtaking sunrise.

The seven-day trek also visits the capital city, Kingston, and tours the John Crow Mountains, home to the world's second largest butterfly, the giant swallowtail.
