This module provides a social-science based understanding of transport planning, to critique our current approaches, to examine the impacts, and new ways forward for sustainable mobility. The module examines the concept of sustainable mobility, the impacts of automobility, the sociological and psychological determinants of travel, and the different scales of intervention, including public transport, walking, cycling and streetscape design.
