In the "The Art and Science of Management" framing module for the Management Science BSc/MSci programme, students will explore the myriad opportunities and challenges faced by managers in global companies and high-growth businesses addressing world-scale problems. This module introduces students to key interdisciplinary management challenges including complexity, scale, growth, innovation, disruptive technology, collaboration, uncertainty, and risk. It emphasises the importance of diverse thinking approaches in tackling these issues.
Beginning with "Introduction to the Art & Science of Management," students gain foundational insights into the multifaceted nature of management. The journey includes practical experiences in "The Business Model Canvas" and "Value Proposition Design," and progresses through "Human Capital Management," "Disruptive Technologies & Innovation," "Competitive Strategy," "Marketing Management," and "Data Driven Organisations."
This comprehensive module equips students with the skills to navigate and lead in the evolving global business landscape, while laying a solid groundwork for their Management Science studies and future careers.
