The module is aimed at students who already have an upper intermediate knowledge of Russian. It solidifies knowledge of verbs of motion, and more advanced aspects of grammar, expands vocabulary to about 3000 words, and develops such spoken and written topics as “Work and Life”, “Family and Family Relations”, “Young People and Society”, ”Politics and Society”, “Economics and Society”, "Russian and Contemporary Global Issues" etc.. Articles from Russian newspapers, Russian news video clips, popular songs supplement the textbook. Equal emphasis is paid to speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills. There are regular tests and students are expected to use the on-line workbook to reinforce their knowledge.
