This is the report for the MA Higher Education Studies. The report is an opportunity for a critical exploration of a field of study in higher education on a topic of direct interest to the participant. The report will be submitted on topics in the field of higher education negotiated between the student and their tutor. The report is an ordered and critical exposition of existing knowledge in any field of part of a field of study in higher education. There should be evidence that the field has been surveyed thoroughly through the study of published sources with a complete list of references of all cited works. It is an opportunity for participants to produce a piece of sustained writing, constituting critical theoretical/conceptual analysis as well as (in most cases) related empirical work, on a topic of direct interest to them.
