Description

The module is designed to allow students to demonstrate how, upon completion of the programme, Anaesthesia Associates working within the healthcare setting are equipped to contribute to continuous improvement in the quality of care to patients, teams and departments. Students will do this by taking the opportunity to conduct an Improvement Science project, which will target a specific area within the field of anaesthesia and perioperative science where there is potential for improvement.

The module requires the student to identify and articulate a specific issue for improvement, to construct and manage a project, demonstrating iterative processes of adaption and to report outcomes in line with internationally recognised standards of reporting.

This module will also include an end of programme review of competence progression where the professional safety and practice of the student is formally assessed.
