Description
This module provides an understanding of key issues and applied methodologies relating to Project Management and Dynamic Scheduling. As such the content of this module provides the essentials a project manager should have when faced with preparing the work necessary for managing and controlling projects in progress.
The focus is on integrating scheduling, risk analysis and control to set up a project management and control system using the available tools and techniques and best practices. The framework for Project Management is analysed in the context of providing managers with the information they need to be able to plan and control projects. The emphasis is on making well-informed decisions of projects in progress by monitoring their performance and predicting their final expected timing and costs.
The module consists of five integrative case studies from different sectors, and make use of project examples such as vaccination programmes, nature conservation and development of electronic equipment.
