Description

This module will be focused on the systematic study of phenotypes on a genome-wide scale, thus linking genetic variation to public health concerns.

Phenomics is critically important to provide traction for biomedical advances in the post-genomic era. This is why, we add to the knowledge accumulated during the previous modules (Genomics, Transcriptomics and Proteomics) by introducing up-to-date phenotype description and classification, adapted to the large-scale sequencing projects and processing of ‘Big Data’. Students will learn how to use and develop the Human Phenotype Ontology terms in clinical and research applications.
