Description

The MEDC0009 module consists of two parts. The first part focuses on important elements of the structure and function of the tissues (Bone, Cartilage, Skeletal Muscle, and Tendon and Ligament) that form the musculoskeletal system, including specific topics detailing the composition of the constituent tissue and how it is regulated by cell activity. The overall aim of this part of the module is to consolidate the students’ knowledge. The second part builds on the acquired knowledge in the first part, by providing an insight into healthy ageing and disease of the musculoskeletal system.
