Description

The module covers the following areas: (i) The physiology of motor control and the role of the Basal Ganglia (ii) Disorders of the Motor system including Movement Disorders and demyelinating diseases (iii) The neural control of cardiovascular and urogenital functions and their disorders

Aims of the module
- Understand the anatomy and function of motor systems in health and disease

Intended learning outcomes of the module
-To explain pathology affecting the motor system with knowledge of relevant neuroscience.
-To construct and deliver concise presentations of complex disease affecting the motor or autonomic nervous system.
-To develop and demonstrate presentation skills as a group and as individuals
