Description

This course will provide students with a fundamental understanding of the processes that transform precipitation events into hazards that can threaten infrastructure and livelihoods. The primary topics are related to slope stability and flooding river systems. To achieve this, students will learn about atmospheric instability, mass wasting events, water budgets, and overland flow dynamics, including through the design and application of simple models.
