Description
The Library Project will train you to carry out secondary data-analysis rigorously, critically, and comprehensively.
At the end of the module you will have experience of all major components of a literature review .i.e. carefully formulating and revising the research question, devising and recording the search strategy including full reporting of the systematic interrogation of data-bases, including key-words used, hand searching etc, ensuring the methods are sufficiently well-recorded to be replicable by another searcher, searching the literature; critical appraisal of published data, including an understanding of the ‘hierarchy’ of evidence and possible sources of bias; discussion and interpretation of results, and the writing of the review.
