This module provides an overview of key fundamentals of a broad range of theory, practice, policy, conceptual and research issues in relationship to leadership in education. On successful completion students will be able to:
- Review and apply concepts, theories and models that relate to the learning of adults, students and organisations;
- articulate the relationships, conditions and constructs that support research-policy-practice mobilisation;
- appreciate how the development of a learning community and learner-centred leadership can be promoted and critically analysed;
- explore how leadership is exercised in response to inequalities, cultural, class, ethnicity, gender, mobility and diversity challenges.
