Description
The aim of this module will be to build on the student’s research skills developed at the Diploma level and to recognise the importance of research in the delivery of high-quality patient care. This will be achieved by providing the students with an opportunity to undertake a research project, which has been designed by the head of the Implant Programme and deputy head for the Master’s module, under the guidance of experienced supervisors. Students have the chance to learn about clinical research techniques during a four-day introduction to clinical research methods and then apply the fundamentals of statistical data collection and analysis, qualitative data collection and analysis to answer their research questions. Continuous feedback of either a formative or summative nature supports the students during their year-long master’s degree.
