Description

This module will examine the energy, environment and resource issues facing developing countries. It will study trends in energy, environment and resources, including interrelationships with other development issues (e.g. climate, health, poverty). It will use case studies to illustrate the importance of context in shaping the outcomes for people, planet and economy. Lectures will cover:

• Energy, environment, resources and the Sustainable Development Goals

• Key concepts, frameworks and methodologies for energy, environment and resources

• The economics of development

• Sustainable energy for all

• Energy governance, including power sector reforms, technology transfer.
