Description

The module has been established to ensure that students write at Master’s level and can analyse text to establish relevant content for their individual programme of study. The vehicle for this is an introduction to key architectural design theoretical concepts which can be taken forward in Terms 2, 3, and 4. The course is taught in Term 1.Ìý

The module starts with introductory seminars, where initial module and programme reading lists will be introduced together with course requirements. Together with design tutors, theory tutors curate readings and theory tutors deliver seminars and tutorials. Students choose key texts and design projects and develop a critical review with their theory tutors. A 1,000-word draft is submitted towards the end of Term 1. After formative feedback, a 2,500-word essay is submitted at the start of Term 2.ÌýÌý
