Economics is the science of allocating scarce resources among competing social wants. Microeconomics describes how individuals and firms make informed trade-offs between scarce alternatives to improve their well-being. Macroeconomics is the study of the economy in the aggregate. This course provides a strong foundation in microeconomics and macroeconomics. It also provides a foundation for further studies in economics.
