Aims
To provide undergraduate students with experience of advanced study and life in an approved European or Overseas academic institution.Ìý
Students will undertake a study programme at the host institution comprised of:Ìý
- research or design project, (25%)Ìý
- graduate level biochemical (or process) engineering courses, (25%)Ìý
- senior level technical elective courses (e.g. science, maths etc.) (50%)Ìý
A Detailed arrangements will vary between the various host institutions but should not differ significantly from the above. The total workload, including contact hours, private study and assessment, should be equivalent to that of a normal full-time student in the host institution. Selection of the above courses is subject to the approval of the host institution and the Study Abroad Programme Director, UCL’s exchange scheme coordinator.Ìý
Upon completion of this 120 credit module / programme, students will be able to: Ìý
- Solve and analyse a previously unencountered biochemical engineering problems      through process or product design or via scientific researchÌý
- Embed biochemical engineering core principles in solving problems in advanced biochemical engineering and advanced technical science conceptsÌý
- Implement critical thinking to translate cognate/related scientific concepts and ideas into biochemical engineeringÌý
