Description

Module DescriptionÌý

This module draws on anthropological expertise about ethnographic research to train students in applying participant-observation methods and ethnographic descriptions to market research.Ìý

Ìý

Module ContentÌý

It is a practice-based module, where students will be expected to: (a) design a market-research methodology that incorporates ethnography; (b) conduct fieldwork; (c) analyse research findings, (d) prepare a research report with business insights.ÌýÌý

Learning Outcomes

By taking this module, students will understand and gain experience in applying ethnographic research to map business challenges and opportunities.Ìý

Formative Assessment: To develop a participant-observation field-diary.Ìý

Summative Assessment: To develop an applied-research report that incorporates ethnographic insights.Ìý

Indicative Delivery Method:Ìý

One 2-hour seminar per week
