Description
This module builds on the basic knowledge established in earlier modules (Clinical Science and Research Method Core Modules; Scientific Foundation of Endodontic Practice [basic level])”, where students are guided in the reading matter and lines of discussion. The purpose of this module is to taper down the level of direct guidance and allow greater independence in literature selection, critical appraisal and synthesis. The remit is to pursue the evidence base in greater depth in the following areas:
- Pulpal & periradicular disease;
- Diagnosis and treatment planning (Endodontic, Oral & General);
- Root canal treatment (including retreatment);
- Endodontic Surgery
