Module Content
The second core module ANTH0177 – which will run over term two and term three - will contain all the practical training for grade assessments on film work produced between January and June of the first year. Students will also be assessed on a critical review submitted one week after the film hand in date. The module is designed to teach, to advanced level, the camera and editing skills necessary for high level film work in a context of critical enquiry about the social world.Ìý

Identify possibilities for creatively turning research into filmÌý

Create research-led film work with a sustained narrative, which shows clear development of its themesÌý

Show an advanced understanding of non-linear editing practices, including sound design and continuity editingÌý

Show an advanced understanding of visual language with accompanying practical camera skills (incl. elementary lighting practice)Ìý

Write critically about their processes and methodology. Be able to articulate their film practice as cogent and expressive written work.Ìý
