Description
This module further develops learning through supervised clinical practice to raise skills towards those attributable to a specialist level. Learning progression is again continuously monitored to allow further tapering down of clinical supervision to encourage independent decision-making. Case-log assessments ensure that the case-mix and case-load exhibit an appropriate level of diversity and richness. Integration of academic and clinical learning is continued through presenting case conferences and topic discussions on selected learning-rich cases and topical clinical issues. The module also recognises the need to consolidate and hone diagnostic and treatment planning skills through supervised assessment of complex clinical cases.
