Description

The aim of this module is to develop your ability and understanding in relation to defining research questions; understanding the relevant literature, theories and models; design strategies for investigating research questions by being involved in appropriate data collection and analysis, summarise your findings in a research report.

Executing a research project will provide you with advanced skills in critical analysis, planning, working with participants, data collection and their statistical analysis. You will learn how to critically appraise scientific literature, how to interpret your results and present them on a poster and in a dissertation.

Depending on the nature of your research, you may need to obtain ethics approval to ensure that the research conforms to general ethical principles and standards.
