The module is divided in to two parts: Vibrations and Acoustics
Topics covered in vibrations include:
- Introduction to vibrations
- Free and forced vibration of single degree of freedom systems
- Transient response of single degree of freedom systems
- Unforced multi degree of free systems, matrix notation
- Energy methods
- Harmonic force applied to a multi degree of freedom system
- Vibration in continuous systems

- Introduction to Acoustics
- Propagation of sound waves in solids and fluids
- Interaction between vibrating structures and sound
- Propagation through partitions
- Sound in an enclosure
- Introduction to underwater acoustics
