Description
This module aims to introduce you to the key themes, theories and debates in the field of Creativity research and examine how these insights can be applied in Education. Key topics that will be covered include: the debate about the big ‘C’ and little ‘c’ forms of creativity, creativity as individual and collective processes, the relationship between creativity and culture, the extent to which creativity can be regulated, managed and taught and its relationship to education and work. You will explore the work of cognitive and cultural psychologists and sociologists and have an opportunity to engage in qualitative research. Please note, the module will not make you more creative, but it will help you pose the right questions about how creativity can be enhanced in different contexts.
