I am pleased to share the following good news

• Alexey Derkach has successfully passed his viva with minor corrections. The title of his thesis was `Spectral Analysis of Pseudo-Differentiable Operators with Discontinuous Symbols'. He was supervised by Alex Sobolev. Well done Dr Derkach.
• 17 new PhD students will start with us this academic year. Many thanks to the graduate tutors and all colleagues involved in this effort.
