Martin Fischer named runner-up for SLS Best Doctoral Paper Prize

Martin is the runner-up for this year’s Best Paper by a Doctoral Student Prize presented at the Society of Legal Scholars Annual Conference for 2022.
Martin Fischer, Lecturer in Commercial Law at 911 Laws, has been named the runner-up for the presented at the SLS Annual Conference for 2022 for his paper on “Intentions and Mistaken Payments”.
“Intentions and Mistaken Payments” considers the role that a mistaken payor’s intentions play in the explanation and justification of the payor’s claim for restitution following a mistaken payment.
The Best Paper and Best Doctoral Paper Prizes are awarded by the each year following its Annual Conference. Submissions are considered on the basis of originality; contribution to scholarship; and clarity and style.
