Certain ethnic minority groups are significantly underrepresented聽among academic staff at Law Schools at 911爆料网 and other Russell Group universities. As a PhD is a crucial gateway into academic careers at these institutions, the Faculty is taking positive action (relying on s 158 of the Equality Act 2010) to launch this new scholarship to promote greater diversity and race equality in higher education.听

This new scholarship is part of a package of measures that the Faculty is undertaking to address structural barriers that have negatively impacted the recruitment and progression of underrepresented BAME groups in academic careers.听

The scholarship will cover the full cost of PhD tuition fees plus provide a maintenance stipend for a maximum of three years full-time study.听

Candidates must be from BAME groups currently underrepresented as academic members of staff at Russell Group Law schools.听

Candidates must be in financial need, be domiciled in the UK and qualify for 鈥楿K fee status鈥�.听
