UCL Laws鈥� Professor Maria Lee and Professor Eloise Scotford have co-authored a paper entitled 鈥樷��.

Professor Lee and Professor Scotford argue that provisions in the government鈥檚 draft Environment Bill would not maintain the legal status of environmental principles as they currently apply through EU law; and that the bill 鈥渦ndermines or misconstrues key features鈥� of the principles.

The paper asserts that 鈥渟ignificant changes need to be made to the draft Bill, so that environmental principles have a meaningful legal and systemic role鈥� after Brexit.
