Know your campus project: mapping facilities for ION students
TheÌý"Know Your Campus"Ìýproject has been created by Shashwat Guha, studying MSc clinical Neuroscience at 911±¬ÁÏÍø, ION Green Impact Sustainability Ambassador for 2023-24. The project involves drafting aÌýÌýalready present around Queen Square IoN, such as water fountains, microwaves, kettles and recycling bins. This can help students have an easier time locating these resources, to heat up food or fill reusable water bottles. This would also encourage everyone to bring their own packed lunches, instead of buying packaged food and bottled water, ultimately reducing waste and saving money! You can find Ìýand the documents below:
"Our future plans involve maintaining and updating the map with even more details such as printers, battery or cardboard recycling stations, device charging points, swap shops and more! If you have any ideas, suggestions or would like to collaborate, please feel free to reach out to me. I am always open for new opportunities and partnerships that align with UCL’s sustainability goals."
"As an international student, I believe that inspiring people across all communities to take small steps can lead to a massive change. Considering the current waste, climate and hunger crisis, it is important to raise awareness on sustainable living and work towards a greener future".
