This hybrid book launch will celebrate the publication of the first full reproduction of Andreas Cratander’s monumental edition of the complete works of Marcus Tullius Cicero (Basel 1528) - a high point of Humanist book printing in Basel.

The meticulous reprint of the two volumes of Cratander’s edition, with a separate introduction by Gesine Manuwald (UCL) and Cédric Scheidegger Laemmle (Cambridge), allows the reader to experience historic book culture first-hand. The book, printed in Italy by , under the auspices of the , is published by . The publication project was realized with the generous support of the Patrum Lumen Sustine Foundation of Basel (PLuS).
There will be short presentations, followed by Q&A and a drinks reception. The event will be chaired by Dr Elizabeth McKnight (UCL).
