International collaborations have become increasingly relevant in the context of academic research. They enable knowledge exchange, broaden access to diverse expertise and resources, and address global challenges that require multi-disciplinary approaches.

Collaborating internationally also increases access to funding opportunities, infrastructure, and technology while enabling universities to tackle issues of global relevance.

UCL Global Engagement invites UCL academics, professional services staff, and doctoral students to gain insights into building successful research partnerships and “scaling up” international collaborations.

Panellists will share their experiences across various modalities of collaborative activities and discuss strategies to maximise grant potential and impact. Additionally, the panel will engage in a conversation about the challenges and current barriers to international collaborative research.

This panel event will be co-chaired by David Coen, UCL Pro-Vice Provost for Global Engagement, and Wendy Wolford, Cornell University Vice Provost for International Affairs. Participants from Cornell and other international universities will join the event.
