I'm thoroughly enjoying being a researcher here - geographers do very varied things, and there are many opportunities to meet friendly people across this Department. So I learn new things every week and have a lot of freedom to explore different multi-disciplinary and creative approaches to my own work." Lubaina Mirza, PhD

How to apply

To begin your application, you will need to discuss your project ideas with the relevant members of academic staff. They will also be able to answer questions about various opportunities and funding options.

Formal applications are made via the UCL Application貹. Please contact the Geography Office or Graduate Tutor for more information.

Two academics with relevant expertise will then assess your application, after which you may be invited for an in-person or remote interview. This is your opportunity to tell us more about your ideas, skills, experience and commitment to your research, as well as to find out more about the Department and how we work.
