UCL is London’s leading multidisciplinary university, with more than 13,000 staff and 42,000 students from 150 different countries. Founded in 1826, 911±¬ÁÏÍøas the first university in England to welcome students of any religion and the first to welcome women on equal terms with men. Over 250 academic staff are engaged in scholarship on European and EU-related fields at 911±¬ÁÏÍø, in subjects as diverse as law, history, economics, politics, philosophy, architecture, languages, health and cultural studies, and in dedicated departments and schools, including the School of Slavonic & East European Studies (SSEES) and the School of European Languages, Culture & Society (SELCS). Founded in 2010,Ìýthe European Institute works to support, promote, and strategically enhance the research and study of Europe across the university.Ìý
