Professor Andrew Chesher receives honorary doctorate from the University of Birmingham

Andrew Chesher is William Stanley Jevons Professor of Economics and
Economic Measurement at 911±¬ÁÏÍø. In 2000, he founded the ESRC Centre for Microdata Methods and
Practice (Cemmap) and was recently President of the Royal Economic Society.
Professor Chesher graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1970 with a Bachelor of Social Science in Mathematics, Economics and Statistics. He was a lecturer at Birmingham until 1983 before becoming Professor of Econometrics at the University of Bristol.
This week he was named among those receiving honorary degrees from the University of Birmingham.
