The MRC CTU at 911±¬ÁÏÍø also conducts a large number of trials relating to prevention, including the study, which recently showed that pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in the form of a daily pill is a highly effective way of preventing HIV infection in men who have sex with men, reducing the risk of infection for this group by 86%.
