What was the aim of your project?

We sought to investigate the opinions of various stakeholders at 911±¬ÁÏÍø regarding the possible creation of a three-way academic network between global alumni, currently-enrolled students and academic faculty members. We recognised that effectively harnessing and facilitating this network would likely be very beneficial for all parties involved.

What did you do?

We utilised a mixed-method approach that included the organising of interviews and focus group discussions as well as the distribution of surveys. These methods were used to gather the opinions of the faculty, administrative staff, current students and alumni of IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education and Society. We found that, generally, the stakeholders engaged on this project thought positively about a possible three-way academic network and could identify their potential roles within it.Ìý

What were the main successes of the project?

Through this project, we have been able to provide evidence of the feasibility of foregrounding robust academic engagement in a network of faculty, alumni and current students. We hope that this evidence creates a shift in alumni-institution relations.
