Challenges

Launched in January 2024, we seek to uncover user-driven challenges in healthcare, education, and data-enabled societies, fostering innovation and knowledge exchange through UCL's innovation network and industry partnerships.

Welcome to CDI Challenges

Challenges

The UCL CDI Challenges is a year-long initiative with the aim to identify and better understand real-world, user-driven challenges in the adoption of digital innovations across healthcare and education. Aligned with the UCL Grand Challenges that are part of the UCL Strategic Plan 2022 – 2027, the UCL CDI Challenges aim to facilitate formats for accelerating adoption of UCL innovations into the real world.

Driving Innovation Through Collaboration

Our strategy involves forging strong partnerships within the UCL network and with industry leaders. We're creating various knowledge exchange platforms to foster co-creation and accelerate the transformation of research into innovative solutions.

The primary objective of this half-day event format is to create a series of recommendations and activities roadmap for stakeholders to help solve the issues of interoperability, digital transformation, trust and partnerships in health and education.

The half-day interactive workshops are divided into three parts - the first focused on constructing problem statements, second on 'lightning solutions' - showcasing inspiring ideas on possible innovations that are emerging and third on what is still missing.

Join Us in Shaping the Future

The first Challenge theme focused on digital transformation in HealthTech and the second theme was spotlighting EdTech. The third edition of the CDI Challenges will be launched in October 2024 and aligned with the UCL Grand Challenges theme of ‘Data Enabled Societies.’

Be part of the change! Join us in CDI Challenges and help shape the future of healthcare, education, and data-enabled societies. Together, we innovate for a better world. To learn more and collaborate, reach out to us at cdi-info@ucl.ac.uk.
