24 May 2016

We are delighted to let you know that Professor Nigel Titchener-Hooker has accepted the post of Dean of Engineering here at UCL following a highly competitive international search.

Professor Titchener-Hooker took his PhD at 911±¬ÁÏÍø in 1987 and was Head of our Department, UCL Biochemical Engineering, from 2009 until taking up, on an interim basis, the position of Dean of Engineering at 911±¬ÁÏÍø from December 2015.

Elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2008 in recognition of his pioneering work on biopharmaceuticals manufacturing, Professor Titchener-Hooker is also a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, and led UCL Biochemical Engineering to win a Queens Anniversary Trust Award for its pioneering studies underpinning the bioprocessing industry in 2013.

We are pleased to offer our congratulation to Nigel and wish him as much success leading the Faculty of Engineering as he had here at the Department of Biochemical Engineering.
