Ville Takala is an Research Associate at the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP).
Ville’s PhD, which he completed at the department of Sociology at Goldsmiths, University of London, focusses on questions surrounding the ownership of data within the context of the Nordic Welfare State. Ville’s broader aim is to identify novel ways to utilise the digital data (that now increasingly accumulates in the private sector) for the advancement of public-, rather than simply private, value.
