About the speakers

Maureen Muthike

Maureen Muthike received the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship from Kenya and is now a graduate of the Prosperity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship MSc at the UCL Institute for Global Prosperity.

Applying for the scholarship was surprisingly easy and completely worth it. The support I received through the scholarship made a huge difference, allowing me to focus on my studies without financial stress. I would encourage all prospective students to apply, especially those from Africa. My time at the UCL Institute for Global Prosperity has been amazing, filled with great learning experiences and networking opportunities, which have provided me with a supportive community. It has been a life changing opportunity as it has expanded my horizons both professionally and socially. It could be a game-changer for you, just as it was for me!”

Luong Me

Luong Mereceived the Chevening scholarship from Vietnam and is now a graduate of the Global Prosperity MSc at the UCL Institute for Global Prosperity.

Receiving the Chevening Scholarship to join the master's programme in Global Prosperity was an incredible privilege. I still remember the overwhelming excitement when I received both the scholarship result from Chevening and the admissions result from UCL. This marked the beginning of a truly eye-opening journey which was challenging but very much worthwhile."
