Momoyo discusses Architectural Behaviorology, an architectural design method, in which one focusses on creating better accessibility to local resources.
BiographyÌýÌý
Momoyo Kaijima graduated from the Faculty of Domestic Science at Japan Women’s University in 1991 andÌýfounded Atelier Bow-Wow with Yoshiharu Tsukamoto in 1992.Ìý
Momoyo taught as a visiting professor at the Department of Architecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design for thirteen years and received the RIBA International Fellowship in 2012.ÌýMostÌýrecently, sheÌýwas the curator of Japan Pavilion at the 2018 International Architecture Exhibition: La Biennale di Venezia.Ìý
While engaging in design projects for houses, public buildings and station plazas, she has conducted numerous investigations of the city through such projects asÌýMade in Tokyo and Pet Architecture.
